Registration for Summer 2010

Registration for Summer 2010 House League is now open. You can download a Registration Form from our forms page and mail it to us (PO Box 1322, Kemptville, ON, K0G 1J0) or drop it in the mailbox at our club office.

3-Part NCR forms will be available at the registration sessions if you prefer to register in person.

The following registration sessions will be held at the club office:

  • Saturday, February 27th - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 6th - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 27th - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 3rd - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • EARLY REGISTRATION DISCOUNT - SAVE $20 ON HOUSE LEAGUE

    Youth competitive players

    No registrations will be accepted for a youth competitive team once the tryouts for that team have started unless that team does not have a full roster at that time. Competitive players must attend two of the four tryout sessions in order to be considered for that team.

    Adult competitive players

    No registrations will be accepted for an adult competitive team once tryouts for that team have started unless that team does not have a full roster at that time. Tryouts, if required, will likely be held in May. Competitive players must attend two of the four tryout sessions in order to be considered for that team.

    Expressions of Interest Being Sought for the Paid Position of KDSC Club Head Coach

    The Kemptville District Soccer Club is currently seeking Expressions of Interest for the contract position of Club Head Coach.
    The Club Head Coach will take a lead role in the planning and implementation of a soccer development programme with a focus on the development of the Club’s coaches; in particular the Club’s house league coaches.
    The Club Head Coach will be responsible for laying the ground work of a five year development plan that will include house league coaches, competitive coaches and players at both levels.
    This position is part-time and a determination of working hours will be agreed upon after selection.
    Interested parties are requested to submit an Expression of Interest to the Club for consideration.

    Job description: To oversee the long-term development of all ages of house league players by developing and implementing programmes that train and support both the house league and competitive coaches of the Kemptville District Soccer Club, with a clear focus on the house league. To provide on-field coaching and off-field administration of players and programmes during the summer season and participate as a non-voting member of the Club’s Board of Directors in the winter months.

    Qualifications:

  • Provincial ‘B’ License preferred but not mandatory, minimum OSA Senior Level Certification.
  • Minimum five years coaching experience and a high level of playing experience in the game will be considered an asset.
  • Valid Police Check
  • Closing date: March 20, 2010 18:00 DST.

    1. This position may require additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Club President and Board of Directors.

  • Referee Course

    The Kemptville District Soccer Club is holding a referee certification course for new referees. It will be held the weekend of May 1st and 2nd at Kemptville College. Please contact our Head Referee Chris Hansen (258-2130) for details or to book a place.

    Level 1 and Level 2 Community Coaching Certification Clinics

    The Kemptville District Soccer Club is hosting Level and Level 2 Coaching Clinics.
    • Child (Level 1) - Sunday, April 11th from 8-5.
    • Youth (Level 2) - Saturday, April 17th from 8-5.

    Tax Receipts

    If you require a tax receipt for the 2009 season please contact our club treasurer Lou Judge by email or at 258-5061.

    Equipment Return

    Coaches or players still needing to return equipment can contact our Director of Equipment, Phil Cassidy, at 613-258-6136 to set up a time if alternate methods below do not work.
    Coaches - please provide a detailed list of player names and numbers (for tracking missing jerseys) for the equipment being returned.

  • The Wearing of Jewellery is Not Permitted While Playing Soccer

    No item of jewellery of any sort will be allowed on the field of play, even if it is ‘taped’. This includes, but is not limited to, necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings, leather or rubber bands or visible body piercings. Loose beaded hair is also not permitted unless tied back or covered by a net. Please see the Ontario Soccer Association Equipment Guidelines.
