Development Soccer (U9-U12)

2019 Development Soccer (U9 to U12)

Development Soccer refers to the age group of U9 to U12, including both the District Development League (travelling team) players and KDSC House League players. It is also referred to as LTPD or the Long Term Player Development ages. This is the "Golden Age of Learning."

District Development League (Travelling) Team Players
The District Development League is managed by the East Region Soccer League. Aligning with the Ontario Soccer Long Term Player Development Outdoor Matrix, players who participate on a KDSC Development Team, on average, can expect to participate in at least one practice and in one game each week subject to the team and league schedules. Approximately half of the teams' games are played at home and the other half will be played "away." The amount of travel depends on what other clubs register teams in the division. Players will have to pay for their own EODSA ID Card if one is required at about $10. Please ask your coach if one is required for your team. Other expenses could be incurred should the team decide to purchase track suits and/or sport bags. Teams may also register for Festivals which would have to be covered by the parents and could involve travelling out of town.

Evaluations
Players wishing to play on a District Development League team must register for and attend Evaluation sessions. The fee is $30.
